Features
Student Book interiors now in 4-color with more real-life photographs and illustrations
New vocabulary is
introduced twice in each student unit along with
practice exercises. It is then recycled throughout the book for
maximum exposure. Workbook practice—one activity master
per unit—extends this exposure.
Grammar structures are presented then recycled twice throughout the
series—first in an informal review and second in a formal
review—to enable students to revisit and expand upon
their grammar acquisition. Also, the 2nd edition provides for a
more logical progression of grammar scope and sequence.
Listening Tasks present
target content and language structure through lively
conversations and natural dialog.
Reading for Real provides
students with the opportunity to read and analyze real-life
documents.
Understanding Graphics introduces
students to graphic literacy through graphs, maps, tables, Venn
diagrams, and pie charts.
Community Involvement encourages
students to get out and explore their neighborhoods so they can
participate more fully in the workplace, in their
children’s school activities, and in community events.
