Reading Plus covers a variety of reading skills and related practice for students from beginning level to intermediate, suitable for learners who study in junior/ senior high schools or preparing for the General English Proficiency Test.

This series is designed to focus on different reading skills according to the needs of students at different levels.

This series is divided into six levels and each level contains reading skills, such as:

• Working within Words (Level 1-2): developing understandings about sound-symbol (phonics) associations

• Using the Context (Level 1-6): directing reader’s attention to language patterns, word form, precise word usage, grammatical correctness, and word recognition

• Getting the Main Idea (Level 1-6): assisting to grasping the central thought of a short passage

• Locating the Answer (Level 1-6): developing skills in finding where soughtfor information can be found within a passage

• Identifying Inference (Level 1-6): developing skills in arriving at a probable conclusion from a limited amount of information

• Detecting the Sequence (Level 3-6): helping to developing the important ability to determine time relationship–the order in which things happen

• Getting the Facts (Level 3-6): developing skills in recalling factual information from a signal reading
