Authentic articles from the Chicago Tribune give non-native speakers of English
an opportunity to enhance their comprehension skills.
Material is divided into four sections, each of which opens with an introductory
essay providing cultural insights on issues raised in the articles. Thematic sections
address the following topics:
The articles are reproduced in their entirety and are often accompanied by the
original photos and artwork. A preparation section precedes each article (or pair
of articles) and provides a reading preview followed by pre-reading and “As-You-
Read” questions.
