The grammar strand of the Interactions Mosaic 4th Edition series addresses the academic grammar needs
of students at five language proficiency levels. Each text
contains theme-based chapters in which students progress
step-by-step through all the major grammatical structures of
English.
Access (beginning to high beginning) includes the verb tenses present, present
continuous, past, and past continuous. Also included are
contractions, nouns, prepositions, adverbs, commands,
adjectives, affirmative and negative statements, and
affirmative and negative questions.
Interactions 1 (high beginning to low intermediate) reviews the verb tenses of Access and adds
the future, an introduction to the present perfect, and the
passive voice. It also includes personal pronouns, possessive
adjectives, nonaction verbs, modal verbs, comparisons, phrasal
verbs, prepositions of place and time, relative clauses,
adverbs of degree, and gerunds and infinitives.
Interactions 2 (low intermediate to intermediate) includes the present perfect continuous, modals,
phrasal verbs, the passive voice, and conditional sentences.
Also included are count and noncount nouns, compound and
complex sentences, adjective clauses, and comparative and
superlative forms.
Mosaic 1 (intermediate to high intermediate) reviews the previously covered verb forms
and adds adverb clauses, the future continuous, the future
perfect, and the future perfect continuous, past conditionals,
restrictive and nonrestrictive clauses, and perfect modal
auxiliaries.
Mosaic 2 (high intermediate to low advanced) reviews all the major verb tenses and
focuses on clauses of time, cause and effect, concession,
opposition, and result. It also reviews gerunds, infinitives,
conditionals, and modals.
